Recycle your old electronics! Our own Cañada College will host an electronics recycling event on Friday, Jan. 15th. With nearly 70 percent of heavy metals in landfills coming from electronic waste, we all need to recycle. If your holidays were filled with fun new gadgets and you are looking to clear space for them, don’t throw your old stuff away when you can so conveniently Go Green and Recycle!

We applaud the College for organizing this free electronic waste recycling event. Not only are they helping the environment but they will raise money for the school’s Science & Technology Scholarship Fund. The more we recycle, the more money will available for scholarships.

Bring your old computers, desktops, laptops, PDAs, mice, keyboards, monitors and televisions, printers, copiers, fax machines, stereos, radios, telephones, cell phones, VCRs, DVD players and more to the College on Friday, Jan. 15th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
