COW would like to give a loud YahMOOOO to twelve year old Woodside resident Adam Winnen for his yearly involvement in the Annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Contest. Adam has entered a pumpkin every year for the past five years. According to this article in the San Mateo Daily Journal, the biggest pumpkin he has grown weighed a whopping 221 pounds! Adam has declared he will now try to grow the most beautiful pumpkin for next years contest. Bully for you Adam!

We would also like to put our hooves together for another local participant, Eric Carlson, of Portola Valley, who won the most beautiful pumpkin award with a 244 pounder. Great job and keep on growin’.
