Hooves-ray! Milk of Life

October 3rd, 2005

We just love the Woodside Community Museum located at 2961 Woodside Road in the recently-restored Mathisen family farm. Interestingly, it is listed as a place to visit on Palo Alto On Line (http://www.paloaltoonline.com) as a place to visit.

The Museum collects artifacts for exhibits on the heritage of Woodside. And with the day of the horse fast approaching they have asked for horse related artifacts. We should all search our barns to see if we have any worthwhile memorabilia to give them.

The Town Recreation Committee reports on its website (http://woodsiderec.com/News/News.htm) that volunteers are needed to help with the staffing of the museum office, things such as answering questions to planning future exhibits, fund-raising, publicity and community outreach and education.

We Hope to see you at the day of the horse festivities on October 8th. For more information see http://www.whoa94062.org/whoa_doth.htm. We hope to see you there.

Sorry, after giving to the rummage sale what we have is in use but will ask around. There are many lovely equestrian “artifacts” out there. It will be wonderful to have them for the public to view.
Thanks for all those who worked so hard to provide this great place to look at Woodside’s past.
